Job Title: Deputy Director, Teacher–Employer Relations

Reports to: Director, Teacher–Employer Relations

Location: HQ Office, Freetown
Supervises: Manager, Discipline & Petitions
Job Purpose:
The Deputy Director, Teacher–Employer Relations, provides strategic leadership in respect of recruiting relationships with employers and serves as the Commission’s contact for employers, teachers, and members of the public engaged in teacher workforce management. In collaboration with key education stakeholders, the Deputy Director will foster relationships with both new and existing employers across a broad range of education-sector service providers to support a robust teacher accountability programme and enhance career education programming.

Main Duties
Qualifications and Experience
• Must be a Sierra Leonean with a master’s degree or higher in Educational Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, or a related field, from a recognised university.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the education sector, administration, and management.
