Excavator Operator

This role will report to Mining Foreman

Role purpose:

An Excavator Operator must be able to work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines. They must have good hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and the ability to operate the machine.

This Position will be responsible for:

• Maintain cleanliness of machine

• Operate a large excavator to complete daily production targets

• Identify and report safety issues and hazards within the pit

• Complete pre-start checks

• Look for areas of improvement or streamline work procedures

• Must comply with company, state and governmental health and safety       regulations, policies, and procedures always

• Keeps stone feeders covered with stone to keep stone available for kiln production and for dump trucks to have adequate place to unload

• Ensures that hopper is always full,

Qualification:

• Valid Heavy Equipment driver's license with a clean driving record

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Similar role

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

• High school certificate

• A copy of an updated National ID Card with National Identification Number (NIN)
